ABOUT NENI AMSTERDAM

NENI Amsterdam is part of the NENI franchise and works closely together with the Molcho family. It is Located next to Amsterdam’s Olympic Stadium, in the converted Citroën garage and opened its doors in early 2019. It is a beautiful complex that has its own restaurant with an open kitchen, cocktail bar, terrace, and bakery/Deli. NENI stands for an Eastern Mediterranean kitchen and dining experience. THE ROLE

As Head Chef, you are the key player of the overall success of NENI’s food philosophy. You are taking the lead of kitchen’s daily operations and long-term strategy. You create dishes, inspire others, lead your team, and manage all food-related tasks.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Being in close contact with the Molcho family

  • Menu development and optimising  

  • Leads by example while establishing and maintaining open, respectful, and trust-funded relationships with employees

  • Control of important costs such as food cost and payroll

  • Recruitment of the kitchen team

  • Performance standards and monitoring

  • Provides training and development for staff in regards with new cooking techniques, knowledge, equipment, and menu

  • Stimulate employee’s retention and development by giving them a platform to grow

  • Makes sure that the importance of hygiene procedures are well understood and monitored by employees

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • Full-time availability

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices

  • Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs

  • Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities

  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal and written). Dutch is a plus

  • EU nationality or work Permit for The Netherlands
